The Corner Cabinet is Pendle Hill’s front-office point-of-sale store in Retreat Guru. It takes its name from the cabinet in the Main House common room where small guest items are kept. It is not the bookstore; it is where guests buy everyday items during their stay. Items include the Firbank Art Studio pass, granola, popcorn, bread, toiletries, photocopies, donations, and an occasional Sundries line for one-off charges. Charges post to the guest’s room account at the time of sale so they appear on the final invoice. Guest Services uses it for walk-up sales; sojourners and program participants may have items added to their account during their stay.
