The Turning Season — A Practice of Presence Among Trees
With Lloyd Guindon and John Gruber
October 18, 2026
A contemplative fall nature walk with John Gruber and Lloyd Guindon.
Join us on a Sunday afternoon for a contemplative walk among the October trees of Pendle Hill. Drawing from the modern Japanese practice of shinrin‑yoku (forest bathing), we will combine reflective walking meditation – engaging all the senses in mindful immersion – with learning and stories about specific trees on the campus. Together we will explore how turning toward nature, to the earth and the life that endures, can offer balance, perspective, and a renewed sense of belonging.
This program is made possible by the generous support of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Recreation and Conservation Environmental Stewardship Fund.
